2006 Precedent RPM
Hello,
Have a recently purchased 2006 CC with (I believe) the 290 engine. The cart came with a high speed rear already installed. I ordered and installed one of those eBay cheapo digital tachs. on the cart but don't know if I set it up correctly. When I am at full throttle I often see RPM exceed 5000 RPM, and while standard 'cruising' with around 2/3'rd throttle, 4000 to 4200 RPM. Note that I do not hear anything strange with the engine at these speeds. Question is - does this sound right? Might my setting be wrong, and RPM's are reading twice what they should be? Thanks for the help. Vince |

Re: 2006 Precedent RPM
The tach should be set to the setting for the plug to fire once per revolution.

Thank you Rich. Thought that might be the case, but wanted to be sure.

Re: 2006 Precedent RPM
You're welcome. Also make sure the tach wire is away from high current wires.
