No, I'm mixing the gas. The hose is still hooked to the carb but it is blocked off on the other side.

I looked at the engine today. The nameplate is still on it under the starter but most of the numbers are scraped off, i can see the EC25-2PG and i can see a number underneath that it either says MO. Or NO. But the number starts with 87. Do you guys think that means my engine at least is an 87?

Yes it will be an 87. Mine is the same way, but my serial number shows it's a late 87 with the 88 upgrades. So i call it an 88, since all the parts are specific for the 88. The previous owner probably used that number when he replaced the carb. It's your call, set it up as an 87, or 88. You'll get a little more performance if you replace the carb with an 88 though.
