Need some help with G9.
Hey guys. My uncle/dear friend/2nd father recently passed away and I have inherited his yamaha G9 golf cart. Him and this golf cart was the whole reason behind me getting my ezgo marathon to fix up and ride with him on his land, unfortunately that never happened because of all the problems I've been having with my ezgo. I came here to get some information on this cart, my first question is how do I raise the seat? Maybe it is a stupid question but when I try to raise it I can feel it catch on something but I do not want to try and force it open in fear of breaking something, is there a latch somewhere? Any other information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Are these good carts?

Thank you guys! It was in the gas door, I had looked in there and saw the latch but thought it was a tube coming out of the tank. Lol. My mind has been a little scattered the last few days.

Re: Need some help with G9.
I figured they were. I was always jealous of my uncle because he never had to work on his but I had to work on mine every time I drove it. His smokes like a tar hill and the drive clutch could use a rebuild but it still does great and always starts within 5 seconds.

Can you guys help me with serial number identification? The serial number is J38-084085. I can't find anything that matches.

After doing some research I think it may be a g2 but somebody has painted the steering column black.
