Default Power Spring Kits????

If I were to put a Power Spring Kit would I see a HUGE difference in performance?

I have seen a few but , I noticed @ Buggies Unlimited they offer a Clutch Tuning kit and also a Power kit (spring).

One installs in Primary clutch and the other in Driven clutch.

What's the REAL story on them ?????

If I were going to do anything in regards to clutches, I would talk to the
clutch expert. Call Tom at http://www.cartpartsplus.com/

What the drive spring will do is let the engine gain more rpm's before the clutch starts to work. The driven spring does about the same thing by opening slower, you need more rpm's to open it up. These are nice mods for lifted carts with bigger tires and they will provide lots of low end grunt power. On a foot note, you can do pretty much the same thing with a shorter belt.

I have the BU front drive spring 28degree rear and a shorter belt and it has nice lowend. It shifts real nice up the big sand hills. It also has an rcc pipe and filter, my only complaint is i can not hit the rev limiter.

Stock is 36, the 28 is the good one. THe 28 holds the cart in a higher gear ratio longer than the 36 so it may not be quicker off the line, that kinda depends on the engine, terrain, belt, and the weight your hauling. If you have lots of horse power and little weight, the 36 may be alittle quicker than the 28 on flat ground. the 28 is more for pulling loads, climbing, that kind of stuff. I think the 28 is a better choice but if your building a drag racer I would at least try the 36
