Check and see if there are any recycle places where you live. I got about $80 when I sold mine. They used to be called junkyards.

Advance / Carquest Auto Parts will give you $10.00 store credit for each. You don't even need to drain the acid. It isn't much, but they were close to me.

I've heard NAPA will give you $15 cash but I can't confirm that.

Put an ad on Facebook marketplace. Free they’ll be gone in an hour or less around here. Put them for like $10 each and they’ll still be gone within a day.

As stated before. Try Autozone, O’Rileys, or Autoworks. I just took 2 boat batteries to O’Rileys, got a $20 credit I spent on spark plugs for the outboard. Besides that who doesn’t nee wiper blades, oil or light bulbs. Scrap yard would only pay $.12 per pound.

Where do you all get rid of these things?
In my area we have an Interstate battery dealer and they gladly pay for used batteries all day long. Hopefully you can find a place that will take them or like CP241 said put an ad with FREE and batteries on the ad. They will disappear in a short time.

Thanks everyone. I did end up finding a place to take the batteries. Almost finished with my conversion!
