In 2008 the 2 gas carts I now own were the only ones on the island. Now there are about 20 gassers here. I know quite a few people that had electrics now have gassers. I don't know of anyone that had a gasser and switched to an electric. There are quite a few nonrunning electric carts here and no gassers. because if there was I would buy it. And again you a whole lot of people wanting to know how to convert an electric cart to gas. Not many or any the other way. If you compare cars in the real world even with the latest battery technology there is a LONG way to go. Another part of this equation is the battery powered lawn tractors. Look how many people are dumping them on market place for CHEAP after a year of use. Just my .02$ worth.

If I had to pick a cart to keep and sell, I’d keep my lithium electric over the gas without hesitation.

If I had to pick between a gas cart and one with regular lead acid batteries it would be a close call, depending on the price. I’d lean towards the gas but if the price gave me room to buy a lithium pack and convert it, I’d lean the other direction.

And this is coming from someone who was always a STRONG preference for gas. The complete lack of necessary maintenance of the lithium combined with the range per charge was a game changer for me.

Initially it would be a gas or flooded electric since up front cost is in play. Over time, an electric could go lithium, but it could also go controller project on me. Just not right away. Gas would likely stay stock. Still leaning toward the gas right now. It's newer and requires less month-to-month maintenance during the winter down time. I would have range and not require drastic emergency measures if the batteries go down away from a charge station. It's also much closer to where I live and easier to sell later if need be. ;)
