The FLA batteries voltage will "sag" some when you slam the gas, but will quickly recover. I have only ran into a few D&D motors, their plastic brusholders were melted, never used a PQ, have used the GE with good results. I have run Trojan T-105's on a 800a controller @ 48v with no melting/failure problems.
