Default G22 Front Panel Badge

I've been looking at a used 2005 gas G22 today. The badge on the front is the actual word Yamaha rather than the circular Yamaha symbol that I've seen on other G22s. Is this strange or were there some G22s that were delivered new with the Yamaha word badge?

Changing bodies is very common. Rack and pinion steering/park brake in the corner of the pedal = G22

Hmmm! This alleged G22 has the parking brake the full width of the brake pedal and I couldn't find the buggy's ID sticker anywhere. Were any G22s fitted with the full pedal-width parking brake or have I actually been looking at a G16? I've not been able to see if it has the revised steering.

Yep, G16 or maybe a 14. The serial # should be on a vertical part of the frame to the left of the battery. The 16 will have a pitman arm and tie rods.
The engines look the same, but the 22 is 357cc and the 16 is 301cc. The 14 has a different engine. A G16 is still a great cart. Is this from a dealer or a private seller?

I know this is not a good pic. But the yellow car is what a 16 front end would look like lifted, (parts wise) and the green car is a 22, (lifted). 2005 actually!! The green car has a rack and pinion steering, and the yellow, a steering box with pitman arm.

My point, "if what your looking at is a G16, its 10+ yrs older than what the seller is portraying!!" Don't get shafted!!

Thanks for the useful replies, Dave in VA and Mike Mac. The buggy is being sold by the greenkeeper at a nearby golf club here in the United Kingdom who refurbishes golf buggies in his spare time to supplement his income. The buggy was supplied to the Renault Formula 1 Grand Prix motor racing team to be used as a shuttle vehicle at the annual British Grand Prix. It is painted in the then Renault racing colours of blue, yellow and white with an 'ING Direct' sponsorship logo on tne front body panel. That sponsor pulled out of the sponsorship deal in 2009 and, at some point thereafter, the buggy was sold and ended up being owned by an elderly gentleman for his weekly round of golf. It looks great and drives really well. There is hardly any wear on the seats or the rubber floor covering and there are no scratches or scuffs on the bodywork. However, the seller wants £1900 (about $2900) for it, which is about the price a good G22 would sell for in the UK but a lot more than the going rate for a G16 in similar condition. For just over £200 ($300) more, I can buy a well-maintained gas 2011 Club Car Precedent in pretty-near perfect condition from an official Club Car dealer, as a line of comparison. If it had been a genuiine G22, I would buy it without hesitation but I think the price is a bit high for a G16. If it helps at all, the buggy has a roof canopy with a bulge on the top and two single stem supports for the windshield frame like the green buggy in your photo, Mike Mac.

Maybe the price will come down when the seller realizes that it is a G16 (1996-2002) instead of a G22 (2003-2007). He could be misrepresenting the age by 9 yrs. Good luck with whatever you do...

No G14,16, or 19 had the "corner style" park brake, theirs went all the way across (and the opposite applies to G22). Also, the round 3-tuning fork logo is exclusive to the G22 due to the way the nose is mounted on a G22 vs prior models. Also all G22 had rack & pinion steering, vs the "steering box" design of prior models.
