I'd think that even if you were to get the cylinder honed at a shop,
and installed the rest, you'd be into it about $250-$300 w/parts.
The Kawi FE engines are strong, yet pretty simple... it's just the matter of how far you want to go with it!

Pretty sure from his other thread he’s got a broken link rod and those are matched to the crank at the factory. New crank is the only real option to fix that, and that’s $800.

got head off yesterday, slight left to right in piston but no up and down....yikes...Need to hit autozone for a clutch puller. Then I will open up the real surprise...Either way I think i'll make a few calls to local cart shops for a fe350 laying around. I think for now I am going to just try and replace with a fe350 if I can first. hit the road on a budget. Them plan b would be...this is not happening as fast as I wanted....so save money for a v twin...down the road.

Either way I think I am hooked on a new hobby, and already looking around for carts in folks backyards calling my name.

He's in Alpharetta which is close to Atlanta, not sure how far that is but may be worth the trip.

I was just about to link to the same thread that CP241 did. Looks like a day trip to GA is in store if the price is right.
