Default DPI Chargers

So I thought all DPI chargers completely bypassed the OBC, but I'm seeing a 15 amp that utilizes the OBC and a 17 amp one that doesn't.
My question is, how does the DPI utilize the OBC if it's supposedly an independent 'smart' charger?

My understanding is that they make replacement chargers for stock carts with the obc and stand alone chargers. Just pick the type you want.

Yeah that makes sense. The one I am looking at is model number 1-48C017, which I believe is the one that is a standalone.

I love the float mode that the PD chargers do not have. Would be great for over the winter. I hate to get rid of my perfectly good PD system though...

you can always sell the PD to get back some of your money. No reason to buy a DPI that still uses the OBC IMP

Yeah I would sell the PD and recoup some money.

I don't see a reason either, you would be SOL if the OBC ever went out, just like you would be with the PD charger.
