2000 48v Club Car Regen 2 Dead

Cart has been running great for 13 years! Then started running slow on take off but did get up to full speed soon.... Installed new batts and it was great for a few days ,had slow take offs very slow in rev..then..died...dead....its like the key is off..... It don't do anything .....yes ,I did check key switch��

Looks like a lot of Regen2 issues going on...

Use this diagram for reference.

With the OBC by-pass in place (OBC 6-pin connector Red/White jumped with the Blue wire).

Turn Tow/Run switch to Run.

Turn the Key switch ON

Put FNR on Forward.

Verify that You have:

+48v on Controller pin #1 Red wire.
+48v on Controller pin #2 Orange/White wire.
+48v on Controller pin #4 White wire.

When You press the Pedal:

+48v on Controller pin #3 Green/White wire

If You have all of the above, that satisfies all controller input requirements.

Place your meter positive probe on pack positive.

Place your meter negative probe on Controller pin #11 Blue/White wire.

When You press the Pedal You should get +48v

if not, the controller is bad.

Thanks Sergio! I'm assuming ,that controller is to be unplugged ,to test pins, from the wire harness side?
Also could a bad controller keep it from charging? Or is that just the OBC' s job? I will keep OBC bypassed for testing though..

You can disconnect the plug for the input side of the controller test.

For the output the connector needs to be plugged to the controller.

If You don't have a back probe for your meter, the one that looks like a hat pin, You can place the negative meter probe on the small solenoid post where the Blue/White wire is connected to.

The OBC is the only thing that controls the charging, make sure the fuse on the OBC Red/White wire is good.

Which test of the controller is the output test?
also if the controller is bad would it be better to send controller out,for repair, buy a new one,if so what is the part number for stock 2000 club car, sepex regen 2 , as my tag is gone.
Or should I ,do they have a kit to change over to regular ds setup? Thanks again!

The last one on Controller pin #11 Blue/White wire, that is the solenoid activation pin.

Yes charger is the control board for the OEM charger. There are other chargers available which have their own control boards = do not need the OBC function and work well with this cart.

Ok just tested ...all pins have 48v ,but last test of the blue /white had no voltage.
isn't the blue /white wire ,just sending activation ground to solenoid ? Why doesn't cart move if I give solenoid its own ground ,to blue /white.?
Also, could motor have gone out? I know its very unlikely . Do you have a motor test for regen 2?
