Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
how cheap? am I wasting my money? or are they just not as good in performance as another...
to me, a battery is a battery...I know that comes across as tragically naive to some of you. perhaps educate me? |

Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
It seems every battery topic brings on heated discussion so we'll do our best for that NOT to happen to this one.
It depends on your situation....how much you plan to use them, etc, etc. ANY battery "can" end up being a good one if you take good care of them. Thats the key to longevity of ANY battery. What do they cost? Are they within $20-$30 of a Trojan? Also, look at the date codes stamped into the terminals. Be sure and get the freshest set. |

Here's a link
http://www.crownbattery.com/PDF/Deep...0Batteries.pdf Looks like it comes in a little short of the Trojan 105's. |

Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
thanks for the info...I'm leaning towards the crown @ $80.00 each...the Trojans are $130.00 each.
How much better to Trojans perform? How much longer will they last? Are they the preferred and most utilized batteries of Buggies Gone Wild? Whats the best place to buy batteries? have you cats found the secret connection? |

Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
My local dealer, Battery Specialists & Golf Carts in Taylorville, IL quoted me at $99.95 for the trojans. Shop around a bit, you may find something close to that.

Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
I have been using crown batteries for the last 4yrs and I have had little to no problems with them, and the newer 6v crowns use the dual post so if you melt your main post, you can put an automotive style adapter on the second post and you’re off. And they are defiantly not cheap by any means, they get my vote

Re: Anyone heard of Crown Batteries?
Badger, I am considering Crown Batteries as well. For me 6 CR255's cost $596 vs 6 T105's at $688. (tax incl). I have no experience with golf cart batteries so rather than flip a coin I thought I would ask what you decided and why. The retailor is pushing Crown's which in my "Cynical" experience might indicate higher profit for them. Thanks..
