Question Club Car DS 1997 - Chugging

I have a 1997 Electric Club Car DS and the shop I've been taking it to can't seem to find the problem. It has 2015 Trojan batteries that are still good. With a full charge when we drive it, it will start shuddering and jerking forward or backwards and drive very slow. So far I have had the Solenoid and forward reverse switch replaced. They keep sending it back to me saying it's fine now but after a little while of driving it, it always starts doing the same thing again.. Any suggestions?

Agreed. Mine was doing the same. Brushes were shot.

Yes, if the pedal is not moving around (pointing to another issue) then as they said, brushed will do exactly what you describe.

Did you figure this out? Was it the brushes?

I had the same issue and it was the white wire from the motor controller to the motor A1 I think. It had worked loose and caused some of the same issues. Go/no go, shudder, but mine smelled like melting wires so I tracked it down ASAP before any damage done. It melted the soft rubber seal around the controller
