Re: Club Car Lithium Conversion complete
What charger are you using? What is the voltage/amperage? I had problems with my first charger. It would not shut off so I bought a lower voltage charger. This one charges to 50.0 volts 15 amps and then holds steady until the batteries stop drawing amps. Then it floats at 50.0 volts.

Re: Club Car Lithium Conversion complete
I ended up using the C1200 at Blue My Sky batteries
https://bmsbattery.com/13-ebike-charger-ev-charger?p=2 I also used the BMS from Chargery.com. If I was going to start over today, I would have purchased the charger and BMS together from Chargery. From my understanding, if you use their BMS and charger together, they work well together and you don't have to do the external relays and such. http://chargery.com/BMS24.asp |

Re: Club Car Lithium Conversion complete
I think I am going to get the Chargery 1500w charger later. It can take AC or DC input. I am thinking about hooking it up to a solar panel to charge while I am golfing and plugging it in at night.

Re: Club Car Lithium Conversion complete
At the moment, I have just under $3K in it with the cart, upgraded motor, controller, batteries, the two chargers, BMS, etc. I’m planning on putting a lift kit, tires, wheels, some LEDs, and a stereo. By the time I’m done with it, I’ll probably have just shy of $5K in it.
The standard battery cars with lift kits are selling around here for ~$5K No real plans to sell it, but the finished product I would probably ask close to $6K |
