Ahh got it. But as it is right now the solenoid is clicking when in Reverse but the motor is not engaging. So does that mean a throttle signal issue? Or do I still need to test by jumping the two wires?

The two wires from micro-switch #3 that You are jumping are the throttle signal.

Well I just jumped those two wires and it will now run in reverse but there is no restriction of speed and very sensitive. I pressed the pedal and spun the tires. So I'm guessing I need to replace something?

The Green and the White wires from micro-switch #3 are the ones that get connected when the FNR is in Forward, so was the cart doing the fast speed in Forward before?

If not, can you post a picture of what You did?

Not sure if I understand what you mean about fast speed in forward. If I floor it yeah it is super fast and will lay you back in the seat. But I can still start off slow and gradually speed up like before the upgrade but there is a whole lot more response. When I jumped the green and white wires I have the same response in reverse. I'll post a picture in a few.

Ok after thinking about it I believe I understand what you meant. Yes before I jumped the green and white wires together the cart would go fast in forward but nothing in reverse. When I jumped the wires together I got the same response in reverse as in forward. See the picture of the green and white wires jumped together. I have noticed that since the upgrade the throttle response is a lot more sensitive than it was when it was stock.

When I read "no restriction of speed" I thought it went immediately to 100% throttle.

The reduced speed resistor in the black wire near the micro-switch is bad.

Did You ever find any documentation on the Controller settings?

That controller can be programmed with a "reduced speed" reverse input (J5 terminal to the right of B+).

Unfortunately that same J5 terminal can be programmed to act as the negative for the Solenoid, so there is no easy way to test how it is programmed.

Edit: Just saw the picture, it looks right

Never did find any documentation about the controller settings. It does have a white square 4 pin connection which I believe is to connect a programming unit? I found a manual I can download but I don't think that will do me any good with no way to see the program. Can I replace the resistor on the black wire or is it a touchy job?

Replacing the resistor is an easy job, the bad part is if you don't have an electronic component store like the old Radio Shacks around, You need to order them.

The factory resistor value is 5.1kΩ:

If You want a little more speed in Reverse than stock, then use a 3.9kΩ:

I would check first to make sure the sonic weld is not what failed.

Follow the black wire from micro-switch #3 back into the harness, You will find a resistor before it splices with the white wire.

Make sure that splice (sonic weld) is good.

Yeah electronic stores are almost a thing of the past these days. I will see if I can find it in the harness. If the splice is bad I should be able to solder back together right? As far as the touchiness of the throttle I might see if I can take my cart to a local guy that sells and repairs club cars and see if maybe the controller throttle response is set too high. If he has a programmer.
