99 ds fe290 oil squirting from fuel pulse port
Dipstick doesnt show overfull. There oil that spurts from the pulse port. Its hindering the fuel pump from working very well. What is inside that can cause this? A baffle or gasket maybe? Or am i looking at a rebuild. Thank you all

Make sure there is no 'valley' in the line where the oil can collect. The pulse line should be straight up to the pump from the pulse port, no sagging.

Re: 99 ds fe290 oil squirting from fuel pulse port
What Charlie said. It’s normal for oil to mist out of that port. But the pulse line itself needs to constantly go “uphill” to the fuel pump. If the hose dips anywhere it can cause the oil mist to pool up in the low spot of the line and collect until the fuel pump no longer has pulse.
If oil is making it all the way up into the fuel pump itself something may be wrong... |
