Re: Bad charger or bad something else?
CTD...that looks very helpful, I will try that flow chart tomorrow. Btw, yesterday I got the charger to "click"..then it started to "hum"...followed by the transformer started getting warm. Up until now, the charger would only "click"...and do nothing else.
So, there is some sign of life...but the charger is still not charging, the pack voltage continues to trickle lower (currently 46.5v), and the ammeter doesn't move off zero. Thanks for the all the inputs and discussion...we will solve this mystery, I'm sure of it! Josh |

Re: Bad charger or bad something else?
Everyone, thanks so much for all the help with this...I really do appreciate it! After it was all said and done...it was the OBC. Put a new one in today, and BOOM...the charger kicked right over.
After a lengthy discussion with the local Club Car service guys, I believe my mistake was this: When I switched out the cart batteries with a brand new set...I did not ensure that the RUN/TOW was in TOW. They said this could could have very well been the cause of the OBC to die. $240 lesson learned I suppose...I'm sure it won't be last. Thanks again to all those that tried to help troubleshoot this problem...hopefully this thread will help others in the future. Kind Regards, Josh |

Re: Bad charger or bad something else?
Glad you got it fixed. Pricey OBC by South Texas standards though. $195 here. Just an FYI. Either way....its running again!
