Default Zone six seater

New to the site. This is my 2010 six seater. I know guys will talk all sorts of nonsense about how its Chinese made. However, I have had nothing but a total positive experience with mine.

My Zone is street plated and insured. Its got a 6" Jakes lift on 23" tires with 10" wheels. Its got Jakes disc brake kit on the front. Sony Xplod/Bluetooth/Ipod head unit. I installed hideaway red and blue LED lights in the headlight housing to play cops and robbers with my kids on their bikes. I have written plenty of "traffic citations" on napkins.

I installed a viper alarm system that locks the kill switch out when its in a alarm. It flashes the head/tail lights when in a alarm along with horn honk.

My kids are trying to convince me to install the 20" drop down dvd screen on the roof crossbar. We will see how that goes.

I plan to reupholster the seats in a black with red racing stripe pattern, when time permits.

I have to take the roof off to fit it in my garage. Thats why it looks like its missing something in the pictures. Thanks for looking

Nice cart. I just recently picked up the 4 seater zone. Not sure why the bad rap on these, it's well made and has a Curtis controller, elcon charger, etc. Couldn't find a faster stock cart without opening the wallet a lot more. I put 20" street tires on a stock lift and looks much better. Just put in new 250 hc xc2 batteries to the tune of $1320 but should provide many good years. The only thing I would like to upgrade are the seats. A little hard and mine are worn.

The YouTube video is of my house. I lost everything in my home on that summer day 8/13/2012. If you have a zone cart in your garage, get it out of there. Only park it where it would not catch anything you care about catching on fire. It doesn't even need to be plugged in to blow a battery. I read on another forum about a guy backing down a driveway and blowing a hole on the top of a battery.
There have been many fires, but you are not going to find them due to settlement agreements. These owners cannot talk about them. I have not settled with them. I’m only asking for what my insurance didn't pay for and they are fighting to not pay anything. They know there is a problem and are not contacting anyone to warn them of the dangers. I’m warning you right now!

I’m a shift worker and came home at 6:00 am, hit the shower and tried to go to bed. It was summer and my wife and two kids were home sleeping. Lucky for me the batteries made a lot of noise when they were exploding. I went to see what the noise was and found the two carts on fire in my garage. Had the fire started a little later I would have been asleep. Had it started in the middle of the night, who would have been there to wake my family up? I could have lost all of them. I just don’t know what else to say.
Please don’t risk your family’s lives with one of these ZONEs parked in your garage.

Richte18,

Surprisingly the quote I got to re-do the seats in black with a red stripe was fairly cheap. The upholstery lady in town said she would charge $150 per seat if I brought her just the seat cushions. I may do that after I recover from the Christmas wallet drain. My neighbor bought a 4 seater a few years back as well and put an air ride system on his. He can make his hop going down the street. Its a little much for me, but fun to watch.

My only issue is getting the hydraulic disc brake conversion to work properly. The linkage is a pain to adjust.
