Poor preformance from a 92 4stroke

Just picked up a tired 92 EZGO with a 4 stroke.
Motor starts fine but only pulls at very small throttle opening. If I give it more gas it still runs but won't pull the cart at all.

Runs at about 5mph if I tickle the gas pedal - get to a slope and it stops - If I very carefully just touch the gas pedal I can get it to creep forward but any more that 1/8 gas pedal it won't move.

Pulling the choke when this happens causes the motor to bog down even more.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to start checking things out as I am completely new to Golf Carts :)

I would start with a compression test and tune up new sparkplugs,
airfilter and fuel filter.Being that its a '92 the engine could be worn out
Look in the STICKYS to see how do the compression test!!!!

mine did the same,i changed the plugs and it helped alot,also valve adjustment.my plugs were fouled beyond beleif,cant believe it still ran.,ine smokes alot still but runs ok.due for a rebuild.

todwil were did you get that front a arm kit or is it cust,looks great
