Default New golf cart

Hopefully I will be getting a new to me golf cart this week, it is a late 2001 ez go gas (not sure what model) Is this a good cart to start out with? I am wanting to lift it, and make a neighborhood/yard cruiser. what motor would it have? and is it easy to get more power/speed out of it because it seems pretty slow. Sorry for the goofy questions just never played with golf carts before.

Welcome. TXT is a good cart to start with, lots of mods for them that don't cost as much as other brands. It should have a 295cc robin engine in it, you can do some governor adjusting on it to make it run better.
