2005 G22E Corroded Cable

Hey gang -

Newby here - long time lurker but need help with a repair so this is my first formal post. :)

So I have a 2005 G22E cart. We've been busy with our kids' schedules lately so it's been mostly sitting in our garage on the charger. Went to check on it the other day, and after noticing that the charger lights weren't on I discovered that the main cable that comes from the rear of the cart to the battery bank had corroded and broken off at the terminal.

No idea how to repair. Can you guys possibly help me identify the correct part and walk me through the replacement? Feels like there's another terminal connection beneath the seat but I haven't taken anything apart to investigate yet.

Measure the length of the cable, go buy a new one at the auto parts store, or local golf cart shop.

But whatever you do, do NOT buy any cable with this type of end. It is well known for melting battery terminals, and it's a sponge for battery acid.

Do I need to worry about gauge or are battery cables standard? I'll be sure to avoid the type you described.

6ga is ok for stock application, but 4ga is always better.

Quick thank you here. AutoZone had the 4g cable in stock yesterday. Cleaned everything thoroughly, made the cable swap and threw it on the charger. Once again drives great and woke up this am to a full charge.
