Default Clutch ramp shoes

I have been using white lithium grease on my ramp shoes on both my G1's but after a ride around the house I inspect them and all the grease is gone. Is there a better grease to use on these or is this normal?

You really shouldn't need any grease on them at all. The plastic should be "self lubricating" (slippery enough on its own). Putting grease on the shoes may cause them to wear out faster, as it attracts grit which gets between the shoes and ramp to cause a sandpaper effect. The shoes will wear out over time, especially on an old machine where the ramps are worn and grooved, but that's normal. The shoes are cheap to replace as needed.

Wow I sure wish I had known this 2 years ago well I sure appreciate your help GMB74, and to think I was told from a few others to keep them greased, no wonder their mucky looking guess I'll clean them up today with some carb spray that will get the excess grease off. Thanks again I appreciate your help.

Hey Spriddle how are you doing, I have been sick most of the summer got a little done to my carts but not much. Seems like when I am ready to do a little work my hernia and legs start bothering me. Im going out here in a bit and use carb spray and get that excess grease off those shoes.
Have a good one my friend.

Sorry to hear you were sick buddy. Don't get any of that carb. spray in your eye's. OUCH!! Hope you get to feeling better. Some good old fresh outside air on the cart will do you good.
