Cool What's a good replacement clutch for g16 ?

I need to replace either my spider/roller or my clutch. While I was away on vacation my brother-in-law (mid-70's) surprised me and fixed the clutch on my Yammie. We had replaced his weights on his earlier this year but mine was threaded on and didn't slide off like his older Yamaha. My spider is now a 3-piece unit thanks to his trusty gear puller. Mine started making a noise like his did (worn weights) and we planned on fixing it when I returned. My wife knew he was helping me out in my absence. Didn't really upset me much because we've worked on each other toys for years. Now the big question is would I be better off with a new Comet clutch, stock clutch or just scrounge up the parts to repair the old clutch. It's a 1997 but I didn't see any visible damage to anything else but there has to be quite a bit of wear. I'm open to opinions on this one.

New spider roller kit retails for like 135.00. Seems cheaper then a new clutch. The spider is screwed onto the fixed sheave and is loctited. Use a propane toruch to loosen the loctite and unscrew the (whats left of) spider counter clockwise to remove.

Is the spider/roller kit parts # JU0-G6430-00-00 the one I need? Should I use red loctite on all the threaded part or just the outer edge? Thanks for the quick reply. I've used a few of the site vendors and I'll check prices tomorrow. Thanks again, Jim
