yamaha rear suspension
anyone done anything to there rear suspension where everything not hanging so low down. would be nice if you could do like i flip kit and mount everything to the top of the axle

Larger diameter rear tires is the only way to gain clearance between the trans and the ground.

Don't know what model/transaxle you have, but can't see "flipping it" as being an option. Like Ron said, larger wheels/tires will help alittle. May want to buy or build a transaxle case skid plate. Would be really good insurance for any possible damage.

yes a skid plate is a great idea i will be doing this to my g9 this summer i think. possible an engine/diff combo plate.

I was going to weld a tube on top of the frame, then cut that bottom tube off and build a diff guard....but after running it a lot on trails I hardly ever had an issue with it like it is stock. Given I have mostly wooded areas here and figure its not a mudder no matter what height the diff is at. I may reconsider when I get the clone motor in it though.

Kinda agree with chvy, it's low and ugly, but I do run in the rocks, and I've never had it hit anything yet so I guess it's just gona be ugly.
