Default solenoid question

does it matter what solenoid i buy to wire up a wire harness to start my vanguard v-twin engine ?

like a lawnmower solenoid,car solenoid ect.........

Probably not but most will recommend a continuous duty GC solenoid for the job.
Continuous duty is the key.

You should have the 4 post model. 3 posts is for a common ground vehicle lar an auto, GC's generally have a dedicated, non-chassis ground.
