Smile G16 Primary clutch bushing replacement.

Hi all:
I'm getting ready to replace flat rollers on a G16 clutch and while I'm into it, thought I'd also replace the bushings as they seemed a little loose. I have the old bushings out and was wondering if there is anything "special" I should be doing/watching before pressing in the new ones. There doesn't seem to be any holes that need to be lined up before pressing in the new bushings. Just thought I'd bounce this off of everyone "before" I step on a landmine. Thanks in advance for any input. Happy Holidays to all !!!

P.S. - Please let me know how to make titles bold. Haven't been able to figure that out yet.

Smile Re: G16 Primary clutch bushing replacement.

OK guys, seeing as no one had any thoughts on this, I can answer it myself!! Bushings came today and I pressed them in without any problems, although they are a fairly tight press. I used anti-seize on them to aid pressing. I now found out that these bushings need additional work to get them to fit after pressing as they would not slide onto the shaft. They are close, but just have high spots. I found a wooden dowel that was close to the shaft size and wound some fine sandpaper on it till it was a good fit. I then proceeded to lightly spin the sheave on the sandpaper/dowel till the sheave was a good fit on the shaft. Don't have to remove much (just high spots) so go slow. I was looking for my brake cylinder hone but couldn't find it as I think that would have worked better.
Just thought this just might help someone if they try the same job.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
