Default Won't start

Okay I have redone everything on this cart. I am really stumped on this cart replaced the ignition coil, new starter generator, cleaned carb, new battery and it turns over and seems like it wants to run but doesnt. Please help as it has spark but not sure why it is not running as it turns over but just doesn't start.

Possibly, when you replaced the starter. You put the wire on the wrong terminal and it is turning backwards. 97 and up is clockwise. What is your compression # ? carb is not opening when you press the pedal. (bad cable)

I have not checked the compression yet but it is turning over the motor pretty good and seems to form a pop when I cover it. I will check the polarity this sounds good. The biggest confusing thing is it is filling the chock tube with gas. Actually took off the chock box and the filter had gas in it. Never seen this before. Would figure blockage was the problem but the carb is cleaned and flowing well. Any thoughts?

Did you check the engine rotation? If it's backwards, it would blow fuel into the box.

If your starter / gen is wired backwards, it will turn the engine over backwards and there is no way it's going to fire and start that way. Verify the direction of rotation.

Check this thread for all things Generator specific, particularly to the 2002 model.
