Default intermittent slow speed issue

Got an EZ-GO K298 #2416747, Sepex, DPS with an odd issue. Often it will drive slow, even with the pedal to the floor. The guys who use this cart have found a way to remedy this by "wiggling" the key switch while it's happening, which suddenly brings the cart to normal. Even though they say they are "wiggling" the key switch, I think they are really just cycling it on and off quickly multiple times. Does this sound like a controller issue to you all?

Sounds more like a bad connection problem

Would DPS be a typo for PDS? If you are running on a 1206MX i have seen a couple of conditions cause a "limp mode"
1. Speed sensor fault make sure your conncetions to the tach on the motor are good. You can normally test this by pushing the cart by hand and the buzzer will go off a few times.
2. Main contactor fault or not closing. The system may still run by drawing current through the precharge resistor but will run very slowly.
If i recall an open key input results in no output to the motor so I is likely not that.
