Default New battery charging

So I just put new batteries in my ezgo marathon. I've read to charge them even though they are new before using them. Can my ezgo total charge charger over charge my batteries. Don't want to cook them before enjoying them.

I think that charger will charge them. But unless it has an automatic shut off (which I doubt it has) I would not use it. Get a new or newer smarter charger that shuts off.

Better off in the long run and way less expensive (as you already know) than a set of new batteries.

Right I know it says it has electronic battery monitoring but just experience from automotive chargers, this doesn't seem to just shut itself off.

I would not be afraid to put it on for a while and let it run a bit. Those new batteries should be charged before using them.

I found my answer on here the charger will cut off when fully charged and the dial is simply a timer to tell me how long it took to reach full charge. My first carry so I'm learning.

I have never had one of those chargers, but I exploded the photo and read that. Good luck with it. I would still replace it with a modern charger.

OK. That was 8 years ago. I would ask johnnieB about it and do what he suggests.

That charger looks like it came over on the Mayflower. No way it can do what a modern smart charger can do. lol.
