Charger Question
I have a 2002 36 volt V-glide with resistor coils and new batteries. Runs great but when I plugged the so called good charger in it blew the fuse on the charger under the glass. So I tried another charger and blew the recepticle fuse on cart? Anyone know what may have happened? I have 37.5 volts across the pack, and looks to be wired right. The only wiring I am not sure about is the solenoid and charger receptacle, could be a crossed wire I am looking for problem as you read this post. There is a diode on the solenoid, not sure how to test it either. Is there a manual for 36 volt chargers?

Re: Charger Question
I have looked at both chargers and they are the same except for one wire inside, I have pics I can send via email if that would help? The cart looks to be word right +=hot and -=ground
Pic below shows the way it was wired, but I think that is wrong? the ground strap should not have a + wire to it right? |

Re: Charger Question
Going to test the diode, says if the fuse only burns one side it could be a diode?
That's why I like gas carts!! |

Re: Charger Question
Replaced the diode board and fuse and good to go. It's amazing when you have enough info to troubleshoot what you can do.
