Re: state of charge meter reading wrong?

Setting that aside, the manufacturer of your batteries has done some research on the subject and recommend their products be charged in accordance with the attached profile. You stated you have T-105 batteries, which are rated at 225AH, so 5A would be a 2% charge rate and a 5A charger would indeed be akin to a trickle charger and take a long time to recharge your battery pack. It depends on how often you use the cart and how far you drive it, but there may not be enough hours in the day to both use the cart and keep the batteries charged since it would take at least between 22.5 and 27.0 hours for a 5A charger to recharge the pack from 60% Soc. Of course, if you don't use the cart often, or drive it very far, a 5A charger might be able to keep up. |

Re: state of charge meter reading wrong?
What kind of charger is your old one you used? Does it have a amp meter on it to indicate charging current? You need to get a voltmeter and make some voltage measurements to help us diagnose your problem. If you have a round state of charge meter with the needle on it is probably giving you the correct indication. Others with lights on them cannot be trusted.
