Default Shocks

What are the best shocks to use on 1992 electric Ezgo? I heard someone say you could use shocks from an older mustang. If so does anybody know what years the shock would come off of? Thanks!

In my opinion the best "shocks" to use on a golf cart are factory "shocks". Unlike automotive shocks a golf cart uses a dampener which operates slightly differently then a standard shock absorber. These dampeners are valved much different also due to the much lighter weight of a cart verses a car/truck.

I have tried automotive shocks on a cart and the ride went from firm to harsh. Again, just my opinion.

If you go with the automotive shock, use Monroeshocks.com/lengthsheets to find the best fit for your cart.Do Not use gas shocks, they will ride horrible, since they are very stiff, compared to oil-filled.Hope this helps.

OTOH, the shocks I have on my TXT cart that is used almost exclusively for off road hunting are for the 1960's mustang and probably do provide a bit stiffer ride....but it's great for the type of use I put my cart thru. I don't seem to bottom it out and that's what I don't want to do.

FWIW

Thanks for the info! I'll probably just stick with the factory shocks.
