Default Charger concerns

I have a 07 precedent. I put new Trojan batteries in last week. Runs good now. However, I never here my charger running between drives. When I plug it in the charger runs but once it shuts off I do not think it ever comes back on. It seems like batteries are little weaker if it's a few days between uses. So is there a way to determine if the charger is trickle charging properly? Its was doing this before the new batteries but I assumed it was the batteries since they were original from 07.

Do a OBC reset , so the charger can start learning the batteries from scratch.

Let it run until the buzzer shuts off

I cannot get the reverse buzzer to sound. Should it still reset?

so U are putting the cart in reverse and pressing the Gas ?

Key Switch to Off
• Forward/Reverse to Neutral
• Tow/Run Switch to Tow
• Disconnect the Battery NEGATIVE (–) wire
from the Battery Minus terminal on the battery
pack.
• Put the Tow/Run to Run
• Forward/Reverse Switch to Reverse
• Key Switch to On
• Lock the throttle pedal down
The reverse buzzer will sound and go off in about 30
seconds. Leave the cart like that for 5 min to cause the
OBC to reset.

Yea. I have read several other posts that say the reverse buzzer does not go off. But I still wonder if it's really resetting. Thanks for your help!

Should I hear the charger running from time to time when the cart is not ran for a few days?

Only every 14-16 days will it come back in and check/recharge batteries.
So if U are not sure when the last time it did a self-test re-charge then.
Unplug charger , leave it unplugged for 20 seconds, then plug it back in
it will go through the self test and charge(or not) as required.

Thanks for the earlier feed back , it's hard to keep track of all the changes CC
does over the years and input from users is critical

It sounds like I am good to go. Just waiting for batteries to break in. My uphill speed seems to be slow and I was afraid it was the trickle charge. It sounds more like just new batteries. I will keep an eye on them. Thanks for your feedback and help as well!!

The only way to confirm proper full charge is to test each batterys and then total pack. This can be done with a digital volt meter after waiting at least one hour after charger turns off ( longer is better yet ). Test each battery and then pack voltage and compare with STICKIES chart "State Of Charge Readings". Then if you are still in doubt list on forum for results.
