Sadiedog....the biggest rivets in the kit are 1/4 rivets....and as kgsc noted, if you get a manual pop rivet gun, it will more than handle it and has a head for it......look at the picture of the one I got.....you can see the different heads on the handle, it comes with 5 total..

Here is the one I got....works like a champ......its the same one that matt has, at Amazon, its a few bucks cheaper, plus free shipping.

I'm lazy so I bought the $30 pneumatic one. My forearms thank me every time I use it.

oops.....that's right.....I usually end up getting other things and normally get the free shipping.

Sadiedog.....you can most likely find the same one on ebay as well.

Nuke, That gun will work great if you have two hands to use.. I usually an trying to hold no less than 6 or so things so the one hand on the pneumatic is my tool of choice. Did I mention I was lazy also ??

The HF pneumatic riveter is a great tool. Kinda pricey if your goal is to save $100 on a DIY project but, well worth the money if you use it on more than just a few projects. One thing I like about it is the rivets get pneumatic tight... not just hand tight.

On the downside it's bulky and sometimes takes both hands to operate in this or that position.

But if you do decide to do this on your own get a couple of cans of the Krylon for plastic black spray paint and repaint the dash & all the plastic before you put it back on for best results.
So just give the plastic parts a good cleaning and then use the Krylon?
