Replace light switch with 3-position key switch
I'm going to swap out the current key switch panel on my '07 TXT PDS with a panel from Carts Unlimited with a battery meter. My current panel has the on-off two position key switch, the F-R switch and a separate light switch installed by the original builder. With the voltmeter in the new panel, there is no room for the extra light switch so I would have to drill a hole in the dash and mount it elsewhere. I would like to upgrade the key switch to the 3-position type, off-on-lights type switch and eliminate the separate light switch all together.
My question is - is the 3-position switch designed to handle the current draw of the lights or is it supposed to activate a relay that handles the current? Thanks in advance. -Mike |

Re: Replace light switch with 3-position key switch
It handles the current of the lights, relay not needed.
