1995 EZGO Medalist will not move under load
I have a 1995 ezgo that runs good when the rear wheels are off the ground. Once on the ground, the cart will move but can be stopped by holding on to it. It sounds like the motor is spinning or maybe its just trying to spin. Looking at the input shaft with the rear end cover removed, it looks like the input shaft is not turning. This happens in forward and reverse.
Things I've replaced: New input shaft New motor New Trojan batteries New controller New solenoid I have not replaced the ITS, it seems to work fine with rear wheels in the air. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

Re: 1995 EZGO Medalist will not move under load
You need a helper here. Have the helper try to drive away while you hold the cart...... observe the axle nut ans see if it is spinning but the wheel is not? If yes bet HD Ausco hubs from cartsunlimited.net if not spinning go to the other side and repeat test. if one hub spins get 2 HD hub replacements.
Alternatively - if no axles spin look to the input shaft or more common a bad battery! |

The hub's are good. The xles aren't spinning. Batteries check good. Also swapped in a new set of Trojans and didn't fix the problem.

Sounds like the input shaft is stripped/ not as common but, it happens. Remove the motor, Jack up one wheel. Grab the input shaft with vice grip and have a friend turn the wheel- see if the wheel and the shaft are connected or not.
