Default Testing an onboard computer

I don't know if this question has ever been a asked or answered on BGW. I picked up a 2007 Clubcar Carryall 1 with a burned wire harness. The key wire, both sides of the Run Tow, and a wire on the solenoid all burned and melted into the rest of the harness. I did my best to repair the harness from the diagrams on BGW. After the repair my hand held programmer still shows no device detected. Ok I guess the controller is bad.
Here's the question. Is there anyway to test the onboard computer with no controller? The cart came with a charger and I'm assuming it works. If the Onboard computer works I'll put an Alltrax XCT 48400iq controller . This way I can utilize the existing charger. If the onboard computer doesn't work then I need a new charger or convert mine and I'm not sure if I want to put the money into it. Can anyone help with testing a onboard computer?

This sounds like a great question for David or Sergio...

The second post from the top explains how to by pass the OBC to check for it working. That way you can check if your charger is working and checking the OBC.

I'm gonna defer this question to Sergio. I've never "Bench" tested an OBC without it being hooked up to the golf cart.

It would be hard to bench test the OBC due to the number of inputs You would have to simulate.

The good news is that the OBC only needs the batteries and the cart receptacle to work, so it is easy to test it in the cart (even without a controller).
Make sure the batteries are connected to each other.
Make sure the pack negative and positive are connected.
Make sure the small gauge (red or pink) wire is connected to the solenoid big post (battery side).
Tow/Run switch on Tow for safety.
Make sure the OBC 6-pin plugged.
Make sure the negative 6ga that comes through the OBC is connected to the 10ga black wire on the back of the OBC.
Plug the charger into the AC outlet.
Plug the charger DC plug into the cart.

Check to make sure the OBC goes through its cycle and it charges the batteries.

That post explains how to bypass and how to test a OBC with a working controller. The bench test without a controller I would need to know what each wire on the obc actually did. I would have to simulate a working controller to test the OBC

As I mentioned in my post, You don't need a working controller, but you need a battery pack and a working charger.

Wire diagram for what?
For an OBC? It's in the main diagram for the cart, and there are several diagrams in the stickies section that clearly show the OBC.
There are minor differences through the years, so it will vary depending on which cart you have.
