Re: Gun rack help
I used a pry bar(large flat screwdriver) and separated the ends of the leafs enough to slap in a piece of leather from an old belt. I did that too both ends of each leaf set and that took care of the back end for me.

Re: Gun rack help
Good luck with the gun rack. When I camo up the cart as in using it for a ground blind, I put a piece of 2x4 that I cut too length and place it in the kolpins and use it for a shooting rail.

Re: Gun rack help
This is an example of using my cart for a ground blind. My cart is in there.

Re: Gun rack help
Another good idea for sure, I've seen one of the old guys that can't really climb treestands use his as a ground blind, he used paracord and shower curtain hooks to hang camo burlap, he could just pull it and close himself in and used the front to shoot out of. It seemed to work, cause he'd shot several deer from it!

Re: Gun rack help
I've killed a couple from the golf cart. I'm not as fancy as a rail for my camo. I keep a bag of leftover stuff and use clips to mount it at various points around the roof, lean up some limbs against it, what ever it takes to blend it in with the back ground.

Re: Gun rack help
That's an interesting idea. Unfortunately we couldn't do that in Missouri. One of the rules, even while hunting on your own private property, is that "Motor driven transportation may not be used to take, drive or molest wildlife."

Re: Gun rack help
Hah! Now that's a gun rack. You should have taken that pic jumping a mound of dirt, up in the air, hollering yeeHaaaaah with the words "Rat Patrol" emblazoned across the front of it.
