Re: 1991 Marathon Part/Help Needed!
So is the problem that the clutch is spinning on the shaft?
If it is you could cut a key way in the shaft with a angle grinder. Or have it machined into it then also have a keyway either dremel tooled into the clutch or machined. |

Re: 1991 Marathon Part/Help Needed!
Oh yeah.. somehow I missed that. I forgot the 3pg switched up rear ends. I have the older 2pg and I am battling a rear end rebuild myself. I was able to pick up a driven clutch and all the diff guts from a guy on here, hopefully they all go in without a hitch this weekend! There has to be someone with some spare parts laying around that can help you out..

Re: 1991 Marathon Part/Help Needed!
So i now am in the same situation your are. I got the 3pg all rebuilt, fixed up the driven clutch as best i could and attempted to take it from s drive. Murphys law struck and now i need all new diff guts also. So if that guy has another set or an axle please let him know i am looking. I'll be damned to pay 1000 for an axle after only paying 800 for the cart :/

Here's something to try if you have some time. Cut some thin pieces of a soda can and see if you can use them as spacers/shims to snug up the gap between the shaft and driven clutch. Just 8 evenly spaced might do it. Place the shims on the shaft first and then try to shove the driven clutch on top of them.
