Default SPICER 012AJ184 Differential Help

I detached the motor from the differential on my cart as I prepare to move the rear axle to a new frame. The differential has been leaking from a feature that appears to have been sealed with RTV or something else. On a different differential it is a black rubber or plastic cover with the name 'SPICER' embossed on it. Is this a freeze plug? Or something else?

Inspection plug, to check the fluid. It's not always the correct fill level tho. Always use the amount specified in your service manual.
