Default Trouble Shooting High Pitch Noise from Motor

I’ve had the Plumquick Bandit motor Installed for about two months now and everything has been working great until yesterday.

They optimized it for flat terrain which is the only thing I ride on in Coastal South Carolina.

I’ve started to have some troubles with a very high pitch noise coming from the motor.

The golf cart seems to do a weird stutter along with it at lower speeds. I've noticed it does a weird clicking type sound when going in reverse also.

I am able to come to a complete stop and then reengage whatever is going on, but eventually the noise comes back and the golf cart seems to go very slow again.

I've noticed that the Engine is also very hot to the touch and I definitely smelt a burn smell.

Would you all have any idea on where to look or what might be the problem ?

I also have a 440 Navitas Amp installed.
AQ06 is a 2006 Club Car DS model and the AQ is for a shunt IQ motor
I have a Heavy Duty Albright Solenoid
Everything is brand new 2 AWG Wiring
Batteries are two year old Trojans.

The best I could guess is you don't have the correct field map in the controller for the bandit motor. The right field map is required for shunt motors or they'll cook themselves.
Talk to Plum Quick, if it's making a clicking noise it very likely has damage to the armature and will need to be repaired by them. They should also be able to supply you the correct field map for the controller.
