Check your connections AT LEAST once a MONTH. They WILL get loose.

Thanks, All The Connections Are Good And Clean , Batteries Are Good. My Ezgo Is A Pds, I Change The Speed Controler Out And That Did Not Work. If I Reset The Tow/ Run Switch , Cart Will Run Fast For 2-3 Second And Then Shut Down To A Very Slow Speed, If I Reset It Again, Same Results. Just 2-3 Second Of Full Power.
If I Reset The Tow/run Switch , And Ease Down Slowly On Peddle, Car Will Pick Up Speed , About 75% Then Shut Down.

Do You Think It Is My Controller?

Thanks Johnny R

If it was a Club Car I would say it was a speed sensor fault... but I'm not sure on your model...

let's eliminate components..

it isn't your keyswitch, f/r button, or batteries, most likely isn't your solenoid, or your batteries... also, probably not your ITS (inductive throttle sensor, under the floormat).

That leaves, speed controller, motor, and one very annoying diode board thingy...

Speed controller, and motor, it sounds like they are not communicating causing a fault to be detected, thus slowing the vehicle down for safety..

The diode board is on your solenoid, and it can fail causing some weird symptoms. It's one of those things I just try when I run out of answers, it solves about half of my head scratching on those cars..

~~~
If I had to guess I would guess the motor is your culprit, but that is advice you should take lightly(those things are pricey).... ' more specifically the sensor on the end of the motor, not the motor itself...
~~~~~~~~~~~~
With that car, and those symptoms, I highly suggest taking it to a local dealer (if they have a good enough reputation for honesty and quality).

However, if you were planning on upgrading it anyways, a new controller, motor, solenoid, and solenoid diode board would probably fix your system.. ...

Phasetim,
Thanks For The Info. Do You Know Of Any Dealers In The New Orleans,la Area?

How Hard Is It To Change The Sensor On The Motor?

Thanks

johny, I do not know of any dealers in the New Orleans area, sorry...

what type of motor and controller?

honestly if you are looking for speed, what I would do is have EMP rebuild your current motor for speed... Tell them to make sure the sensors are all good etc..etc..etc... then if your car still doesn't play nice, you are probably needing a controller. You get your speed, and closer to answering the problem...

I have the same problem with my 2000 EGo electric. It runs fine for 1-2 minutes then like there are only 1 and at times 2 batteries running it..then I get a sudden surge of full speed then the back to 1mph.
When it's in the 1mph mode, I can stop and roll backwards freely without the usual beeping.
I've checked all my connections, the motor doesn't feel hot when touched.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Try and get a code by driving the cart in diagnostic mode.
