Default 22" or 23" tires

Will I have any problems clearing 23" tires on a 1995 Medalist with the 5" drop axle lift? I am trying to decide between the 22" or 23". Of course I want to go as big as practical. I may use the 6" spindle lift from Jakes. It looks really good IMO. HAs anyone ever used the Black Widow tires. I want something that is fairly aggressive, but not like Vampires or anything. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
David J.

I'd suggest either Interco Swamp Lites or ITP Mud Lites. Both have great traction and drivability.

you might need spacers but that could be some where down the road.. on mine the tires will rub the tie rod ends just a little bit at 15 lbs pressure, at 20lbs they just barely miss but my tires don't seem to hold 20lbs so well they leak down to 15 in a couple days and hang there

Madoc1, Sounds good. The lift I am looking at says that it lengthens the wheelbase by 3"
It pushes the front axle out. It is a 5" drop axle lift and claims that it will clear 27" tires. I don't plan on going that big but it should definitely clear 23" tires with offset rims.

Thanks.

Have you upgraded the power to handle those monsters?

SpoiledRotten, I don't plan on running 27" tires. I will be running 23" tires. The lift is supposed to be able to clear 27". I just purchased quite a few upgrades. I have another post about a 1995 Medalist.
