1993 Electric EZ Go Sometimes it moves Sometimes it don't
I have replaced basically everything but the batteries, whick check out Ok, and the motor. Sometimes the cart won't move at all, sometimes it barely crawls, and then sometimes it runs fine. The solenoid clicks every time the accellerator is activated and the batteries are good and charged. Maybe time for a new motor?

93... controller cart with PB-6 and Curtis controller? Check the throttle input from the pb-6. should be a smooth 0-5k throughout the peddle travel...

I take a look in the morning and check it out. I've not checked those items.

I couldn't do much today because it was storming but tomorrow i will check each battery with a good tester/charger and do the other recommended troubleshooting. If these things check out OK I will be in the market for a motor for this '93 electric EZ Go cart.

Re: 1993 Electric EZ Go Sometimes it moves Sometimes it don't
I had a similar problem with my 84-86 EZGO Electric car, 36 volt system, and discovered that i had 4 out of the 6 Volt Batteries with low voltage and bad cells. Now I haven't replaced the Batteries yet, because I decided to clean the battery holders, and recondition them with new steel supports. When I do replace the batteries I will let this forum know if that was my solution too. |

Re: 1993 Electric EZ Go Sometimes it moves Sometimes it don't
It seems my problem was awful similiar. First, my accellerator shaft and linkage needed adjusting as I was informed to check out. After charging the cart and running for only a couple of minutes it would barely move. I checked each battery individually and found 3 with 6.1 - 6.4 volts. The other three had 5.3 - 5.7 volts. I replaced the 3 low voltage batts with good used batteries that we charged and load checked and now it appears to be running fine (crossing my fingers). Thanks to everyone's input. I'm giving it a good, full charge tonight and tomorow will tell the tale.
