Default '03 CC Pathway street legal in Sarasota County

Sirs...I'm looking for help with some confusing issues getting this buggy a license plate. What windshield will pass? .What VIN # will pass, the one on the cart or do I get a long auto type VIN from ??? Are raidial tires required?

Am I missing anything else? We're new to the state but are seeing carts being driven around the neighborhood.

Each state is different so you need to spend some time at local licensing department. Normally the serial number is good enough in some states, but in almost all states require DOT rated tires. Most golf cart tires are not rated fo highway use and speeds over 8-12 MPH. Good luck in your search for info as after reading most states literature you need a lawyer, a judge to make any sense out of them?

Is the Sarasota county you refer to in Florida?
If so, you are in luck as it is one of few states that allow carts without 17digit VIN numbers to be registered for street use.
You need to visit your DMV, get the forms and then take the cart to them for inspection. They will issue a new VIN number and check your insurance documents
I believe you will need head, tail, brake and signal lights plus horn, DOT windshield, wiper and a slow moving vehicle triangle. The cart speed for an LSV must be between 20-25 mph, no more, no less. Radial tires are not required but DOT tires may be.
