Default Ugh... where do I start ???

Just bought this cart yesterday for $300, sight unseen.
Was told it needed batteries and a directional switch. No big deal... assumed it was all stock.

Got it home and discovered it has an upgraded motor and controller package in it.

Any schematics I can use that might apply to this combo ?
I think its a 96 DS.

Somebody’s done a pretty extensive conversion on that if it’s a 96 frame – which it looks like it is. That’s a much newer Sepex drive system.

You came out good on that one! Much better than my $200 1996 DS that I had to totally strip all the wiring and start from scratch on. You're already ahead of where I was. I upgraded to a similar motor and Alltrax controller.

Yeah... I assumed I was buying a stock cart that just needed batteries.

Super happy to see the upgrades but now need to do my homework to get it running.

Was the seller able to tell you if it ran since the "upgrade" or not?

No, seller was 3rd party ownership and had zero info to share. He only said that it had a new controller on it... which I took to mean new, but factory.
Im basically flying blind and starting from scratch.

My day job is electric forklift tech... and I own a Fluke... so eventually I will figure it out. lol

Looks like a stock solenoid... and has rocker switch setup.

Any idea if theres a plug n play harness for this combo ? or should I just try to make this mess work ?

Also not sure what it's got for throttle control... or what this SepEx needs to work properly.

The throttle is probably an MCOR (the box under the pedal.)

Throttle type should either be an MCOR or a V-glide.
V-glide would be a black box like a pie wedge on the drivers side inner frame rail under the seat.
MCOR is a box on the passenger frame rail under the floor in-line with the pedals.

It looks like the harness was already updated to an IQ harness, so it’s probably fine. though it could have been routed better.

Someone removed the charge receptacle for some reason.
I’d get some batteries in it and see what it does before going too far into wiring or other parts.

The solenoid is an updated solenoid. That cart looks like it originally had the toaster coil setup. Pretty sure that started out as a series cart with an FnR lever.
