Default Club car 36v series loosing power

I am new to this site and must say it is very informative. I have a club car 36v series and the cart will take off fine and run a few hundred feet then it will loose power and eventually stop. If you let it sit for a few minutes it will run fine then stop again. The batteries are newer and hold good charge and all of the connections are clean and tight. If someone could point me in then right direction of what to check next it would be very appreciated.

You are describing a battery problem.... connect a volt meter to the pack and run it. Check your starting voltage & see how low it drops when it slows.
