Motors run hard will get up to 200 F, I would say anything much over 230 F is really pushing it and asking for trouble.
Regular solder melts at 275 F, the silver solder used in the motors doesn't melt until it hits 450 F but by that time you would have already had other thermal breakdowns/meltdowns. |

I asked Robby at Plum Quick about maximum motor temp and he told me he does not want to see over 200 degrees. I will be adding a temperature meter in my dash with a switch for motor / battery / controller. With the terrain around and the Assassin motor I will need to watch it. One motor down, I will not make it two.
