you also have to understand you have 42V instead of the standard 36V, even tho most carts now are 48v

I have worked on a few westerns and thought they were little more peppy than a standard cart.

If you have the stock motor it is a 36v 4hp motor, if yours is the fan cooled model it is 7hp.
Basically, DC motors increase in hp as voltage is increased. Your 4hp 36v stock motor taken to 42v will be a 4.75hp motor.
You either have the Curtis controller or the Minarik controller, both of these are likely the 400 or the 500 amp model.
