DCS cart had the lever F&R like a series but 2 things distinguished them as a DCS cart. One was the backside of the DCS F&R looked like a silver hockey puck and second they did have a run/tow toggle switch mounted on the controller environmental cover.... Hope this helps..

Also hope this is not a DCS.... because what you described is how 90% of all DCS controllers are murdered.... with low voltage.

it has the lever on the outside of seat area and inside directly behind the lever is a round disc with a micro switch on either side (one reverse and one forward) and a buzzer connector. There are just wires.......NO BAR GOING TO PASSENGER SIDE. I would send a picture I took, but can't figure out how to get it in this thread.

I will do some on line investigating myself to see what type of cart I have. The guy I bought it from has been totally wrong about everything about it so far and he moved a month ago.

You describe a DCS F&R ~ Confirm you have a Run/Tow toggle switch on the controller cover?

Agreed, it sure sounds like a DCS but something's peculiar here as he mentioned in post 7.

What other type of cart could I have. I was told that by my model F399 and serial #1184430 that it was a 99 TXT DCS, but I am going by what I was told.
Odds are it's a DCS and maybe the run/tow switch was deleted for some reason.
We can't really get to the problem until we find out what kind of cart it is.
In the meantime, the battery voltages were posted but the pack voltage was not and maybe a battery was installed backwards.
What is the pack voltage measured at the charger receptacle. Based on the previous posting of the voltages it should be somewhere around 37.5v.

That's the problem NO RUN / TOW switch on the controller cover. I checked a friends cart and his has one (but it is a newer model), so I know what to look for.......but I do not have one.

remove the cover and see if it's just underneath or hot wired? or ???

Sorry, did this cart previously run like this?

Nothing on the cover...no holes labels nothing.....
under the cover is the square box controller and solenoid....nothing else.
I see no hot wiring...that I can recognize.

It ran normal since we got it a month ago....until it ran out of juice one evening and I had to push it 100 feet or so and charged it 2 hrs enough to get it home.

Then after cleaning batteries and filling with distilled water and individual charging.....no go at all (see my first post).

You need to post or link to pics on another hosting site. We are confused.

You describe a DCS F&R and Series control. It cannot run like this, so pics may help us see what you are missing here?

Below every post reply text box is a clickable link 'manage attachments' select it, then select 'browse' to view your pictures, and select your pics to 'upload'

Voltage from charging ports is 37.5 / 37.6
the controller has three large terminals on top and two smaller on the passenger side also a 9 pin white connector with multicolor wires going to the pedal switch, ignition and other places

the two small wires from the top of the controller go to the motor S1 and S2 terminals.
Hope this helps somehow
